This 1961 Morgan Plus 4 four-passenger roadster is said to have spent decades in California and was refurbished in the early 2000s before being purchased by the seller in 2019 and relocated to Texas. Powered by a 1,991cc inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in Avion Blue and black over brown upholstery. Features include a tan soft top, a tonneau cover, 15″ wire wheels, front disc brakes, a wood dashboard, a banjo-style steering wheel, wind wings, dual SU carburetors, and a custom air intake. This Plus 4 was listed on BaT in August 2026 and is now offered again with a copy of the Cuthbert J. Twillie book A Yank At Malvern, manufacturer’s literature, and a Texas title in the seller’s name.

The car was stripped and repainted in Avion Blue and black during the aforementioned refurbishment, according to the seller. The tan soft top has been replaced, and other features include a tan top boot, a bright grille, fender-mounted side mirrors, louvered hood panels, a detachable one-piece windshield, wind wings, running boards, and chrome bumpers.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels with knock-off hubs are mounted with 165-series Michelin tires, and a spare is affixed in a cove located at the rear of the vehicle. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums.

The four-passenger cabin features seating retrimmed in brown leather. Additional equipment includes a wood dashboard and a dash-mounted rearview mirror. The seller notes that the white dashboard switches and the floor mats have been replaced.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 6k-rpm tachometer, a 110-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. An aftermarket ammeter is fitted beneath the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 900 miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership; true mileage is unknown.

The Triumph-sourced 1,991cc inline-four is fed by dual SU carburetors matched with a custom air intake and a K&N filter. The carburetors were cleaned and tuned in February 2026, and the oil was changed in June 2026, the seller tells us.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
