This 1970 Ford Cobra SportsRoof has remained with the current owner’s family since the 1990s and is powered by a 429ci Cobra Jet V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Originally white, it has been redone with red paintwork, gradient stripes, and black vinyl upholstery, and it is further equipped with power-assisted front disc brakes, Sport Slats, a Hurst shifter, and a center console. The engine has been rebuilt with performance parts, and a 3.91 limited-slip differential, power steering, and 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels have been added. This Cobra is now offered at no reserve on consignment by Sierra Classic Sportscar—a BaT Local Partner—in Meadow Vista, California, with a Marti Report, a car cover, and a Nevada title.

Originally white, the body has been refinished in red and features body-color racing mirrors, Sport Slats, gradient side stripes, a black-out shaker hood, a black rear tail panel with Cobra lettering, chrome bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets. Paint imperfections are shown in the gallery.

The car has been retrofitted with 15″ Magnum 500-style wheels with staggered rubber. It was originally ordered with power-assisted front disc brakes, and power steering has been added.

The interior was originally specified with black knitted vinyl bucket seats, a console, and an AM radio. A Hurst shifter with a T-handle knob is provided for the driver, and an MSD timing-control knob is mounted beneath the dashboard.

The two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. Auxiliary AutoMeter gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature are mounted beneath the dashboard, and an AutoMeter tachometer is mounted on the steering column. The five-digit odometer shows 77,138 miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The 429ci Cobra Jet V8 was factory rated at 370 horsepower. According to the seller, the engine has been rebuilt with a 0.030″-over D0VE block with four-bolt main caps, 11:1 compression Speedpro forged pistons, a Crower camshaft, ARP hardware, D0VE Cobra Jet heads, roller rocker arms, Ferrea valves, a blueprinted high-volume oil pump, and a Holley 800-cfm double-pumper carburetor. The owner estimates the current build produces more than 500 horsepower. Service performed in August 2026 included fluid changes and recommissioning after storage, and the battery has an 8/26 sticker applied on top.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter and a retrofitted 3.91:1 limited-slip differential. Long-tube headers flow into a dual exhaust system.

The Marti report lists the car’s original specifications and production information. The seller notes that the original trim tag was removed during refinishing and was not reinstalled.

The car is titled in Nevada as a 1970 Ford Mustan P2T using VIN 0A38C231471. The title carries an Odometer Exempt brand.
