This 1982 Schwinn Sidewinder bicycle is said to have spent time in Boise, Idaho, and was acquired by the seller circa 2011. The bike is finished in Sierra Brown with gold and white graphics and gold anodized details like the Ukai alloy rims, ASC hubs, Dia Compe caliper brakes, and Weinmann BMX-style levers. Additional features include a Brooks seat, a chrome-finished fork and cross-braced handlebar, a five-speed Suntour freewheel and shifter controls, 26″ wire-spoke wheels, pads with yellow covers, and a side stand. Work in preparation for sale included replacing the tires, tubes, grips, and pedals. This Sidewinder bike is now offered at no reserve in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a bill of sale.

The frame is finished in Sierra Brown with gold and white graphics and a chrome-finished BMX-style fork. Details include a black Brooks saddle, a side stand, four reflectors, and yellow pads with ‘Team Schwinn’ script on the handlebar cross-brace pad.

The bike rides on 26″ wire-spoke wheels with Ukai gold-anodized alloy rims and ASC gold-anodized hubs, and were mounted with replacement tubes and yellow knobby tires in preparation for sale. Braking is handled by Dia Compe side-pull gold-anodized alloy caliper brakes.

The chrome handlebar carries Weinmann BMX-style gold-anodized levers with yellow-sleeved control cables along with Suntour shifters. The yellow grips are replacement items installed under current ownership.

The drivetrain is comprised of a chromed steel crankset with a double chain ring set, a drive chain, a five-speed Suntour freewheel, and a Suntour AG rear derailleur. The Tipsum Odyssey Bear Trap pedals with gold anodized details were added by the seller and the chain was oiled in preparation for sale.

Additional underside photos are captured in the gallery.

The serial number stamped on the head tube is consistent with a July 1982 production date.
