This 1964 Porsche 356C coupe was acquired by the current owner in 1986 from its prior owner of 22 years. The car is powered by a 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Light Ivory over black leatherette. Features include 15″ steel wheels, disc brakes, body-color bumpers, twin engine grilles, front bucket seats, an AM radio, and an analog clock. This 356C coupe is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with the owner’s manual, service records, and a clean Massachusetts title.

This Karmann-built body came finished from the factory in Light Ivory (6404) and received a two-stage repaint in 1999 following repair of the front floor and replacement of the lower door skins. The rear bumper, trim, and rear panel were replaced following an accident in 2019, and the roof and quarter panels were refinished at that time. The 15″ steel wheels wear hubcaps featuring the Porsche crest and are mounted with 165/15 Michelin XZX tires. The car was factory equipped with disc brakes at each corner, and the fluid was flushed in 2024. The front calipers and pads were replaced in 2021, while the rear calipers were rebuilt and the wheel bearings replaced in 2020.

The front bucket seats and rear jump seats are upholstered in black leatherette, and interior appointments include a body-color painted dashboard, a cabin heater, lap belts, a Motorola AM radio, and an analog clock. The selling dealer notes that the interior retains its factory components and upholstery with the exception of the carpet.

The three-spoke steering wheel features a horn ring and wears a lace-up cover. VDO instrumentation consists of a central tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as a 120-mph speedometer and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer has rolled over and shows 45k miles, over 40k of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.6-liter 616/15 flat-four was factory rated at 75 horsepower and 90 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was performed in 2024, and work in 2020 involved a valve adjustment, installation of a five-row aluminum oil cooler, and replacement of the distributor cap and rotor, heat exchangers, and muffler.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
