This 1998 Rover Mini Cooper is a right-hand-drive example that was first sold in Japan and imported to the US by the selling dealer in 2026. Finished in Tahiti Blue with a Diamond White roof over black leather, the car is powered by a fuel-injected 1.3-liter inline-four linked with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 12″ T-Speed wheels, front disc brakes, GAZ adjustable shocks, a stainless-steel exhaust system, dual driving lights, air conditioning, wood veneer trim, and a Pioneer CD stereo. This Mk VII Cooper is now offered by the selling dealer with the owner’s manual, service records, and an Idaho title.

The car left the factory in Tahiti Blue with a Diamond White roof (JRJ), and the selling dealer tells us it has been repainted. Exterior details include body-color wheel arch extensions, LED headlights, dual driving lights, and fender-mounted mirrors. Paint touch-ups are visible on the hood, and the rear quarter window seals are loose.

Gold-finished 12″ T-Speed multi-piece wheels are mounted with Bridgestone tires. The car was factory-equipped with an independent front and rear suspension with telescopic hydraulic dampers, and GAZ adjustable shocks have subsequently been installed. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The wheel hubs and tie rods were reportedly replaced in 2025. 

The right-hand-drive cabin is trimmed in Black leather with white piping along with wood-veneer accents, and it features a Pioneer CD stereo.

The wood and leather-rimmed airbag steering wheel fronts a 180-km/h speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a combination gauge for coolant temperature and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 73k kilometers (~46k miles), approximately 300 of which were added under current ownership.

The 1.3-liter A-Series inline-four was factory-equipped with twin-point fuel injection and rated at 62 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque. An HKS air cleaner is equipped along with silicone hoses and a stainless-steel exhaust system. The oil was changed and the battery was replaced in 2025, per the selling dealer. The selling dealer notes that if the engine temperature is low, the engine may idle low or turn off if the air conditioning is running.

Power is routed to the front wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. A sump guard is installed. Corrosion is visible on the underside, and the left front jack point is dented.
