This 1950 Buick Super convertible was purchased new by the seller’s grandmother from Hill Brothers Gem State Auto Company in Pocatello, Idaho. The car was acquired by the seller circa 2000 and is currently a non-running project that is equipped with a 263ci straight-eight and a three-speed manual transmission. The car has been refinished in copper and has chrome bumpers, front Ventiports, and bench seating trimmed in black upholstery. Various systems are inoperative, including the power-operated tan soft top, the drum brakes, the push-button AM radio, and the power windows. This Super is now offered at no reserve with the original order form, manufacturer’s literature, and a clean Idaho title in the seller’s name.

Originally finished in Old Ivory, the car has been repainted in copper. The tan soft top shows wear, and the power-operated function does not work. Exterior details include dual side mirrors, front Ventiports, and chrome bumpers.

The car rolls on 15″ steel wheels, and one of the Buick-branded covers is missing. The drum brakes require service.

The cabin houses bench seating upholstered in black. The power windows and radio do not work, and interior wear is depicted in the gallery below.

The steering wheel has a horn ring and fronts a central 110-mph speedometer and combination gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles, approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 263ci OHV straight-eight was factory equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and rated at 124 horsepower when new. The engine does not run.

The engine is linked to a three-speed manual transmission.
