1982 Porsche 928

This 1982 Porsche 928 has received a variety of refurbishment work over the past few years, including a repaint, interior and electrical repairs, a timing belt replacement, and overhauls of the steering, brakes, air conditioning system, and more as described below. The car is finished in red over brown upholstery and is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transaxle. Equipment includes a Borla exhaust, a sunroof, pop-up H4 headlights, 15″ phone-dial wheels, cruise control, automatic climate control, an aftermarket stereo, and power-adjustable front seats. Acquired by the seller in 2026, this 928 is offered with an owner’s manual, parts invoices, a Carfax report, and a Colorado title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Wine Red Metallic and was repainted in 2024. Additional recent work is said to have included repairing the lights and windshield washing system, overhauling the sunroof, installing a third brake light, and replacing various trim pieces. The antenna does not deploy.

The 15″ phone-dial alloy wheels are mounted with Laufenn tires, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. The shocks are said to have been recently replaced, and the brakes are noted to have been overhauled with replacement calipers, rotors, and lines. The steering system is also said to have been refreshed with a replacement steering rack, pump, and tie rods.

The power-adjustable front bucket and folding rear seats are trimmed in brown upholstery, and interior appointments include cruise control, automatic climate control, and an aftermarket CD stereo. Various interior trim components were recently replaced or repaired, and the air conditioning system is said to have been serviced with a replacement receiver drier, expansion valve, and several seals.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a 7,600-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 69k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership. The instrument cluster was repaired under previous ownership, though the seller notes that the odometer does not currently read accurately. The Carfax report notes that Not Actual Mileage titles were issued in 2024 and 2025. True mileage is unknown.

The 4.5-liter V8 was factory rated at 231 horsepower and 265 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted three-speed automatic transaxle. The timing belt and spark plugs are said to have been replaced in 2026. Additional recent work is said to have included installing a Borla stainless-steel exhaust, rebuilding the fuel injectors, flushing the differential fluid and transmission fluid, and replacing the radiator, water pump, accessory belts, engine mount dampers, fuses, and various relays, seals, and hoses. A seller-provided work summary is shown in the gallery below.
