This 1970 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is one of 3,196 examples produced for the model year and is said to have been refurbished circa 1992. The seller acquired it in 2026 and tells us that they purchased it from an owner of 41 years. The car is powered by a 400ci V8 linked to a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in white with blue stripes over blue. Equipment includes a shaker hood, 15″ Rally II wheels, power-assisted brakes, power steering, front bucket seats, and a heater. This Firebird Trans Am is now offered with a reproduction window sticker, a copies of a 1970 dealership invoice, and a clean Wisconsin title in the seller’s name.

The car was finished at the factory in Polar White (10) and refinished during the aforementioned refurbishment. Exterior equipment includes a shaker hood, a front air dam and spoiler, front fender vents, bright trim, a rear decklid spoiler, and dual exhaust outlets. Cracks in the paint on the nose are shown in the gallery.

The 15″ Rally II wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 235/60. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in blue vinyl, and engine-turned metal trim accents the dash. Interior equipment includes a Hurst shifter, front bucket seats, manual-crank windows, and a heater.

The Formula steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. A SunPro coolant temperature gauge is mounted underneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles. The clock and Kenwood cassette stereo do not work.

The L74 Ram Air III 400ci V8 was factory rated at 335 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The car retains its factory Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, per the seller, who notes that the engine was rebuilt around 1992, with approximately 4k miles having since been accrued.

The engine block stamping above includes a WS suffix.

Other stamping and casting marks are displayed above, and additional identification markings from around the vehicle are shown in the gallery.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Safe-T-Trac limited-slip differential with 3.73:1 gearing.
