This 1972 DeTomaso Pantera is finished in green with black graphics over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 351ci Ford Cleveland V8 paired with a five-speed ZF manual transaxle. It features pop-up headlights as well as a V-shaped rear wing and rides on silver-finished 15″ Campagnolo cast magnesium wheels coupled with disc brakes at all four corners. Inside, a Lecarra steering wheel fronts Veglia instrumentation and is accompanied by an aftermarket stereo. The engine was overbored and fitted with Speed-Pro forged pistons, a COMP Cams hydraulic roller camshaft, and a Holley four-barrel carburetor as part of a rebuild completed in 2023, and a replacement rear axle carrier with billet stub axles was installed in 2024. Acquired by the current owner in 2026, this Pantera is now offered on dealer consignment with a framed Deluxe Marti Report, partial service records, and other vehicle literature along with a Texas title.

The Pantera’s bodywork was designed under the direction of American designer Tom Tjaarda. This example left the factory finished in Bronze (B) and was repainted in its current green finish in 1998. The car wears black Pantera graphics on the sides as well as body-color bumperettes. Further details include pop-up headlights, Vitaloni side mirrors, quad exhaust outlets, and a V-shaped rear wing.

Silver-finished 15″ Campagnolo cast magnesium wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires measuring 205/60 front and 295/50 rear. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension, and braking is handled by power-assisted discs at each corner. The rotors were machined and the brake pads, lines, and fluid were changed in February 2026.

The bucket seats are trimmed in black vinyl, which extends to the dash, center console, rear bulkhead, and door panels. An Alpine AM/FM cassette stereo in the center stack is connected to Craig speakers in the doors, and further interior appointments include a heater, air conditioning, and power windows.

The four-spoke Lecarra steering wheel fronts a Veglia 200-mph speedometer and 8k-rpm tachometer as well as auxiliary gauges for amperage, fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure stationed in the center stack. A Veglia quartz clock and an Omega Kustom Instruments voltmeter have been added aft of the dogleg-pattern shifter. The five-digit odometer shows 32k miles.

The mid-mounted 351ci Ford Cleveland V8 was rebuilt at Automotive Machine Shop of Bossier City, Louisiana, in 2023. The block was bored .030″ over, a three-angle valve job was performed, the flywheel was machined, and the rotating assembly was balanced as part of the process, which also included installation of the following parts and components:
- Holley 670 CFM Street Avenger carburetor
- COMP Cams roller camshaft, rocker arms, and pushrods
- Lunati Power roller lifters
- Speed-Pro forged pistons
- MSD ignition

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF five-speed manual transaxle. A replacement rear axle carrier and billet stub axles from Pantera Parts Connection was installed in 2024.

A framed Deluxe Marti Report is included in the sale along with a collection of vehicle literature that can be viewed in the gallery.
There is currently a lien on the car, and the owner’s lender will need to be paid off before the title can be transferred to the next owner.
