This 1973 Mercedes-Benz 220D remained under the care of its original owner in Pennsylvania until 2013, and it was purchased by the current owner on BaT in September 2025. Finished in white over red MB-Tex upholstery, the car is powered by a 2.2-liter diesel inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes 14″ steel wheels with painted covers, a Becker AM/FM stereo, and air conditioning. This W115 220D shows 36k miles and is offered on dealer consignment by a BaT Local Partner with manufacturer’s literature and a clean Oregon title.

The car is finished in White (050) and features a left side mirror and chrome bumpers with overriders. Close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The 14″ steel wheels feature covers with painted centers and are mounted with Kuhmo tires. The car was factory equipped with an independent double-wishbone front suspension and an independent semi-trailing arm rear axle. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs at each corner. The brake fluid was changed and the rear sway-bar links were replaced in 2025. The seller reports that the brake pads were replaced under current ownership.

The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in red MB-Tex that extends to the door panels. Interior appointments include a Becker AM/FM stereo, hand-crank windows, and air conditioning. The blower motor and windshield washer system do not work.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation, including a 100-mph speedometer and an analog clock, as well as a combination gauge for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 36k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.2-liter OM615 diesel inline-four was factory rated at 59 horsepower and 96 lb-ft of torque. Work in 2025 included changing the oil and coolant and adjusting the valves, while the air conditioning system was serviced in 2026. Additional work under current ownership is said to have included reconditioning the fuel tank.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.

Manufacturer’s literature will accompany the sale.
