350-Powered 1957 Chevrolet 210 2-Door Sedan

This 1957 Chevrolet 210 two-door sedan was acquired by the seller in 2005 as a repainted shell, and the car was subsequently re-powered with a 350ci Vortec V8 linked to a 4L60E automatic transmission and a Currie 9″ rear axle. Finished in red over red vinyl and gray cloth upholstery, the car is equipped with Edelbrock induction components, 17″ American Legend wheels, power-assisted front disc brakes, dropped spindles, an Ididit tilt steering column, and a custom exhaust system with headers and Flowmaster mufflers. Cabin appointments consist of a Lecarra steering wheel, a B&M floor shifter, AutoMeter instrumentation, and a custom audio system. This modified 210 is now offered with service records and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished in red under previous ownership, and exterior elements include twin wind splits, a scalloped hood, 210 side trim, updated headlights, “Dagmar” bumper guards, and dual exhaust outlets exiting below the rear bumper. The seller reports that bodywork has been completed on the left-rear quarter panel, and the trunk floor pan was replaced in 2011.

American Legend 17″  alloy wheels are mounted with Goodyear Eagle Sport tires that were installed in 2019. The car is equipped with 2″ dropped front spindles, power steering, revised coil springs and bushings, and replacement rear leaf springs. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin features a split-folding front bench seat and a full rear bench trimmed in red vinyl with gray patterned cloth inserts, which extends to the doors and rear panels. Appointments include a B&M shifter, a cupholder console, an aftermarket Bluetooth stereo, kick-panel speakers, and trunk-mounted audio components. The seller recommends servicing the audio system.

The Lecarra four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to an Ididit tilt steering column and frames an AutoMeter Sport-Comp instrument cluster. Auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted below the dashboard. The digital odometer shows 12k miles, all of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown. The speedometer needle remains at the 12 o’clock position while parked.

The 350ci Vortec V8 was installed in 2006 and breathes through an Edelbrock 650-cfm four-barrel carburetor and aluminum intake manifold. It also has an Edelbrock Elite Series finned black air cleaner and matching valve covers, and cooling is provided by a Cold Case aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Further details include a Procomp Electronics ignition control box, an EZ Wiring harness, a billet power steering reservoir, a polished serpentine drive setup, and tubular exhaust headers. The seller reports fluctuation of the coolant temperature before stabilizing at highway speeds.

The 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission is managed by a Compushift electronic controller, and it is linked with a Currie 9″ rear axle with 3.70:1 gearing. The transmission pan gasket was replaced in January 2022. The car is also fitted with an aluminum fuel tank and a dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.

The car is titled under the VIN VB57L172968, and the VIN plate has been painted over.
