This 1961 Chrysler Newport wagon is finished in teal blue and white over parchment leather and powered by a replacement 440ci V8 paired with a Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission. Features include angled quad headlamps, finned quarter panels, power front disc brakes, power steering, a push-button transmission gear selector, remote mirror control, 3-row seating with a stowable rear-facing bench seat, and chrome 15″ wire wheels. The car reportedly spent 25 years with one family in Arizona before it was acquired by the current owner on BaT in November 2021. This Newport wagon is now offered on consignment by the selling dealer, a BaT Local Partner, with a clean Washington title.

Factory-finished in white, the car was repainted in teal blue and white during a refurbishment under previous ownership. Features include angled quad headlamps, chrome bumpers, finned quarter panels, a rear tailgate with power window, a fender-mounted mirror, reverse lamps, and dual-outlet exhaust. There is a touched-up area on the passenger quarter panel along with rust repair on the tailgate and lifting paint on the grille.

Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with 235/75 General Ameri SE white stripe tires. The car is fitted with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

Three rows of bench seating were reupholstered in parchment leather with pleated inserts along with matching door trim panels. The car features a push-button transmission gear selector, a remote mirror control, and an analog clock. The air conditioning belts, compressor, and pulleys are intact but the lines and under-dash unit are missing.

The tailgate is equipped with a power rear window, and it drops down to reveal a rear-facing bench seat that stows in the floor.

The AstraDome instrument cluster contains a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for amperage, fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles, approximately 50 of which were added under current ownership.

The factory engine was replaced by a 440ci V8 during the refurbishment under previous ownership. An oil pressure gauge is mounted on the firewall. The car bogs under acceleration at times.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
