This 1977 Volkswagen Super Beetle convertible is one of approximately 1,000 Champagne Edition examples produced for the 1977 model year. It is finished in white with a white soft top over white leatherette and is powered by a fuel-injected 1.6-liter flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Features include 15″ Lemmerz sport wheels, gold body stripes, maple veneer dashboard trim, a padded steering wheel, and a cassette stereo. This 1303 Super Beetle was acquired by the selling dealer in 2026 and is now offered with a clean Florida title.

Champagne Edition cars featured gold lower-body stripes and white plastic beading between the body and fenders. Exterior details on this example include chrome-finished bumpers, dual side mirrors, gravel guards, and a louvered engine cover. The Champagne Edition included 15″ Lemmerz sport steel wheels, and Gripmax MaxGrip Classic G/T tires are mounted front and rear. The car was factory equipped with a MacPherson strut and coil spring front suspension in place of the standard Beetle’s torsion bar setup. Stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners. The seller notes that the brake master cylinder and tires were recently replaced.

The front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered in white leatherette, and wood veneers accent the dash. Interior appointments include a lockable glove box, a cassette stereo, and seat belts.

The padded steering wheel features a Wolfsburg crest and fronts a 100-mph VDO speedometer with an inset fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 56k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The air-cooled 1.6L flat-four was factory equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and was rated at 48 horsepower and 73 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the fuel injectors were recently replaced.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle.
