454-Powered 1972 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe Pickup

This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Custom Deluxe pickup was acquired by the owner from a friend in 2000. The truck had been repainted and had its interior reupholstered under prior ownership, and the owner continued the refurbishment and modification work by installing an overbored 454ci V8 and a replacement Powerglide automatic transmission, as well as a custom-painted cowl-induction hood. Finished in green and white over green vinyl and cloth, the truck is also equipped with 15″ chrome wheels, front disc brakes, a snap-on tonneau cover, power steering, and a push-button radio. Under the owner’s care for the past 26 years, this C10 is offered by the seller on his father’s behalf with spare parts and a clean Colorado title in the owner’s name.

The exterior was repainted under prior ownership, while the custom cowl-induction hood with ghost flames painted on the underside was installed during current ownership. Matching ghost flames are also painted on the windshield cowl and inner fenders. The truck is equipped with a snap-on tonneau cover and chrome bumpers.

Five-spoke 15″ wheels are mounted with a mixed set of tires. The truck is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The bench seat has been reupholstered in green vinyl and cloth, and amenities include a Hurst shifter, a push-button radio, and replacement black carpeting. The air conditioning compressor has been removed.

The Grant GT steering wheel sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, supplementary gauges, and under-dash-mounted aftermarket auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 95k miles, approximately 2,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The flame-themed engine bay was fitted with a 454ci V8 in 2002. The seller states the engine has been bored over, and features include rebuilt carburetor, an MSD ignition system, a K&N air cleaner, tubular headers, and a dual exhaust system.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Powerglide automatic transmission equipped with a 4,000-rpm stall converter and a Positraction rear differential. A replacement fuel tank and fuel lines were installed under current ownership.

Spare parts, including the removed factory hood, an uninstalled three-speed automatic transmission, two nitrous tanks, and removed trim pieces are included in the sale.
