This 1963 Chevrolet Impala convertible was purchased by the current owner’s husband in 1980, and refurbishment work was completed in 1991. Refinished in blue over coordinated upholstery, the car is powered by a 283ci V8 mated to a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated white soft top, power steering, and 14″ wheels. The cabin is appointed with a power-adjustable front bench seat, vent windows, an AM radio, and a heater. This Impala is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a binder of refurbishment photos and New York registration.

Finished from the factory in Monaco Blue (914), the car was repainted as part of the work that was completed in 1991. It is equipped with a power-operated white soft top, quad headlights, dual triplet taillights, and chrome bumpers.

Steel 14″ wheels wear wire-spoke, spinner-style covers and are mounted with Hankook Optimo tires. The car is equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by drum brakes at all four corners.

The cabin houses a power-adjustable front bench trimmed in blue upholstery, which extends to the rear bench. Appointments include vent windows, metal trim accents, manual-crank windows, an AM radio, and a heater. Wear on the left door panel and top of the seat is noted.

The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and a fuel level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles.

The 283ci Turbo-Fire V8 is equipped with a dual-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 195 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque.

The engine stamping is shown above.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission.
