Fuel-Injected 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 5-Speed

This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is powered by a replacement fuel-injected 327ci V8 that is backed by a five-speed manual transmission. The car was acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in December 2024 and relocated from Canada to the US. It was subsequently fitted with blue leather and Alcantara upholstery, a replacement blue soft top, and a blue leather headliner for the body-color removable hardtop. Other modifications include a side-exit exhaust system, front disc brakes, Vintage Air air conditioning, and a retro-look radio. The car was refinished in blue under prior ownership and rides on 15″ turbine-style wheels. This C2 convertible is now offered with service records, spare parts, and an Arkansas title.

Finished in Daytona Blue (916) from the factory, the fiberglass body was refinished under previous ownership and was fitted with a color-coordinated soft top following the selling dealer’s acquisition. The body-color removable hardtop that will accompany the car was also fitted with a blue leather headliner. Other details include a side-exit exhaust system that was installed in 2017 as well as flip-up headlamps, fender vents, quad tail lamps, and chrome bumperettes. A scratch on the right rear of the car has been touched up.

Turbine-style 15″ wheels were mounted with BFGoodrich Silverton Radial tires under current ownership. Braking incorporates aftermarket power-assisted front-wheel discs.

The bucket seats have been reupholstered in blue leather with Alcantara inserts and white stitching, and the seller reports that the seats have been extended. A retro-look radio is linked to front and rear speakers with grilles coordinated to match the hood inserts. The door seals and window regulators were also replaced under current ownership, and a Vintage Air air conditioning system was previously installed.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 24k miles, approximately 1,500 of which were added under current ownership.

The replacement 327ci is equipped with Rochester mechanical fuel injection, electronic ignition, and an ACDelco alternator.

The engine stamping is shown above.

A Silver Sport Transmissions Tremec five-speed manual transmission was installed in 2017 and is linked to a Positraction differential.

Decoding the trim tag reveals:

  • Style 63 867 – 1963 Corvette convertible
  • Body 3639 – St. Louis body number
  • Trim 490K – Dark Blue vinyl upholstery
  • Paint 916A – Daytona Blue

The current Arkansas title carries an “OD Exempt” remark.
