This 1978 Chevrolet El Camino was purchased by its current owner and their spouse in 2000, and it spent time in New Mexico before being relocated to Wisconsin circa 2013. Work throughout the 2000s included installing a 350ci V8, repainting the body in its current shade of gold, and reupholstering the cabin in tan vinyl and cloth. Equipment includes a three-speed automatic transmission, 14″ Rally wheels, front disc brakes, power steering, bucket seats, an AM/FM radio, cruise control, a dual exhaust system, and an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. Now showing 30k miles, this El Camino is offered by the seller at no reserve with partial service records, a handwritten mileage log, and a Wisconsin title in the owner’s name.

The pickup left the factory in Dark Carmine Metallic (79), and it was refinished in its current shade of gold in the 2000s. Exterior equipment includes dual side mirrors, bright trim, and chrome bumpers. The bedliner is peeling, the grille is cracked, and paint chips, bubbles, and imperfections are shown in the gallery.

The 14″ Rally wheels have bright trim rings and are mounted with 205/75 Hankook Optimo H724 narrow-whitewall tires with 2011 production date codes. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the truck is equipped with power steering. A spare wheel is included in the sale.

The bucket seats were reupholstered in tan vinyl and cloth under current ownership. Interior appointments include a push-button AM/FM radio, cruise control, and aftermarket speakers. A cover has been fitted over the cracked dashboard. The air conditioning does not work, and imperfections are shown in the gallery.

The two-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket cover and frames an 80-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 30k miles, approximately 6k of which were added under current ownership. The clock and voltage gauge do not work.

The 305ci V8 was replaced with a 350ci V8 in the 2000s, and it has been fitted with an Edelbrock air cleaner, valve covers, intake manifold, and four-barrel carburetor. The windshield washer fluid cap is broken.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system.
