32-Years-Owned 1987 Spartan II

This Spartan II is one of approximately 300 examples built by the Spartan Motor Company in San Marcos, California, and was acquired by the seller’s brother-in-law in 1994. Based on a 1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 chassis, the car is finished in red over black leather upholstery and is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. It rides on 15″ alloy wheels and is further equipped with removable roof panels, chrome-finished bumpers, opera windows, four-wheel disc brakes, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a factory cassette stereo. This Spartan II shows 87k miles and is now offered at no reserve by the seller on behalf of their brother-in-law with an owner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Illinois title listing the vehicle as a 1987 Nissan 300ZX.

The car is finished in red and features removable roof panels, dual power-adjustable side mirrors, faux fender-mounted spares, running boards, etched opera windows, and chrome-finished bumpers. There is a crack in the left fender, the bumpers are rusted, and the brake lights remain illuminated.

Chrome-finished 15″ wheels are wrapped in thin whitewall tires, and the left-side tires need to be replaced. Stopping power is provided by ventilated discs at each corner.

The 2+2 cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black leather. Appointments include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic climate control, cruise control, and a cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The seller notes that the headliner needs to be replaced.

The multifunction steering wheel frames digital instrumentation consisting of a speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 87k miles.

The 3.0-liter VG30E V6 was factory rated at 160 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage.
