This 1977 BMW 630CSi was purchased new from BMW of North America in Montvale, New Jersey, by the late James G. Robinson, who founded Morgan Creek Productions in 1988. The company is known for producing films such as Young Guns, Major League, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, True Romance, and Ace Ventura: Pet Detective. Showing 10k miles, the car has remained part of the owner’s collection and is powered by a 3.0-liter M30 inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. It is finished in Topaz Brown Metallic over tan leather, and equipment includes 17″ BBS wheels, a sunroof, a cassette stereo, power windows, and air conditioning. This E24 630CSi is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner’s estate with manufacturer’s literature and a Montana title.

The car is finished in Topaz Brown Metallic and features a sunroof, dual side mirrors, bright trim, a power antenna, and twin center-exit exhaust outlets. The seller notes a variance in paint meter readings around the body, and close-up photographs of the exterior finish and trim are shown in the gallery below.

The multi-piece 17″ BBS wheels are mounted with Pirelli P Zero tires. The car is equipped with a MacPherson front suspension and semi-trailing arms out back. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs and ventilated front rotors.

The cabin features front seats and rear bench upholstered in tan leather, along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior amenities include a cassette stereo, air conditioning, and power windows and locks.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 10k miles, all of which were added under current ownership.

The 3.0-liter M30B30 inline-six features Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. In preparation for the sale, the fuel tank was cleaned, the oil was changed, and the battery was replaced.

Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.

The seller is listing the car on behalf of an estate, and a representative of the estate will handle the transaction.
