1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ70 at No Reserve

This Toyota Land Cruiser FJ70 is a left-hand-drive example that was built in September 1985 and was acquired by the selling dealer in Panama in 2025. Service since that time has involved performing rust repairs on the frame, adjusting the valves, overhauling the power steering pump, and replacing the valve cover gasket, valve stem seals, drive belts, and various ignition components. Refinished in silver and blue over gray upholstery, the truck is powered by a 4.0-liter 3F inline-six linked to a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It rides on a lifted suspension with Old Man Emu shocks as well as 15″ steel wheels wrapped in 31″ tires and is further equipped with Aisin manually locking front hubs, front disc brakes, a power sunroof, air conditioning, a Pioneer head unit, and power windows and locks. This FJ70 shows 374k kilometers (~233k miles) and is now offered at no reserve by the selling dealer in Panama with spare parts and Panama registration that describes the vehicle as a 1986 Toyota Jeep.

The two-door body was finished from the factory in Silver Metallic with Night Blue Metallic (2W0) lower panels and was repainted under previous ownership. Details include a powered sunroof, running boards, sliding rear windows, mud guards, and side-hinged rear cargo doors. Bubbles in the paint, scratches, dings, and other imperfections can be viewed up close in the gallery below.

Polished 15″ steel wheels are wrapped in 31×10.5″ Linglong Crosswind M/T tires, and a matching spare is affixed to the rear carrier. The truck rides on a lifted suspension with Old Man Emu shocks and is equipped with Aisin manually locking front hubs as well as front disc and rear drum brakes. The power steering pump was repaired in 2026, at which time the fluids were changed.

The front bucket seats and folding rear bench are trimmed in patterned gray cloth that extends to the door panels. Appointments include air conditioning, rubberized floor mats, a Pioneer CD stereo, power windows, and a pod affixed to the top of the dashboard that incorporates an altimeter and readouts for pitch and roll. The front seat upholstery is worn.

The steering wheel fronts a 160-km/h speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The six-digit odometer shows 374k kilometers (~233k miles), approximately 1k of which have been added by the selling dealer.

The 4.0-liter 3F inline-six was factory rated at 155 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque. Service in March 2026 involved changing the fluids, performing wiring repairs, adjusting the valves, and replacing the valve cover gasket, valve stem seals, drive belts, distributor, ignition wires, spark plugs, and an alternator connector. The selling dealer notes that the starter motor sticks intermittently.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The selling dealer tells us that rust repairs were performed on the frame, at which time it was repainted.

The vehicle is being sold on its Panama registration, which serves as the ownership in Panama and describes it as a 1986 Toyota Jeep.
