This 1969 Lotus Europa S2 was purchased by the seller in 2011, and work since 2023 is said to have involved rebuilding the engine, overhauling the front disc brakes, and replacing the clutch. The car is finished in white over beige and is powered by a mid-engine 1,470cc Renault inline-four mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes modified wheel well arches, a single Weber side-draft carburetor, 13″ alloy wheels, decklid vents, flying buttresses, twin bucket seats, power-operated side windows, front and rear trunk compartments, and headers. This Type 54 is now offered in British Columbia with a workshop manual and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.

The Europa debuted in 1966 and featured a fiberglass body mounted over a steel backbone chassis that was developed from the earlier Elan. This example was repainted white under prior ownership and is equipped with decklid vents, chrome trim, flying buttresses, dual fender-mounted mirrors, and front and rear trunk compartments. The wheel arches have been enlarged and the front turn signal lenses have been relocated below the bumper.

The 13″ alloy wheels are mounted with Cooper Trendsetter SE tires measuring 185/70. The car is equipped with an independent front and rear suspension, and stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The front brakes are said to have been overhauled in 2025 and the suspension bushings replaced in 2017.

The fixed-back bucket seats with integrated headrests are upholstered in beige. Replacement carpets were installed in 2018, and additional appointments include wood dashboard trim, fore-and-aft seat adjustment, power-operated side windows, a wood shift knob, and a heater. There are stains on the interior surfaces and the passenger window has difficulty opening and closing.

The MOMO Prototipo steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. Readouts for amperage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are centrally mounted on the dashboard. The speedometer does not work, which the seller attributes to the cable drive gear, and the five-digit odometer shows 28k miles. Total mileage is unknown.

The mid-mounted 1,470cc Renault inline-four is equipped with a single Weber side-draft carburetor and had a factory-rated net output of 78 horsepower and 76 lb-ft of torque. The engine was reportedly rebuilt between 2023 and 2024, and work is said to have included re-profiling the camshaft, balancing the connecting rods, porting and polishing the cylinder head, replacing the water pump, and installing a lightweight camshaft, alternator pulley, and headers.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. A replacement clutch was reportedly installed in 2026 and a lightened flywheel has been added.
The vehicle is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
