This 1939 John Deere B was restored by a previous owner and purchased by the seller in 2026. It is powered by a 2.4-liter twin linked with a dual-range, four-speed manual transmission and a Behlen overdrive unit. Equipment includes a rear power take-off shaft, a pin hitch, a side-mounted belt pulley, narrow-width front wheels, and adjustable-width rear wheels. Service performed under the seller’s ownership included the installation of replacement spark plugs and ignition components. This John Deere B is now offered at no reserve in Wisconsin with a bill of sale.

The Model B was produced at the John Deere factory in Waterloo, Iowa, between 1935 and 1952. This “late-styled” example was restored under previous ownership. It has been refinished in green with yellow John Deere lettering, and features include a screen-style grille and a black exhaust stack.

Yellow-finished steel wheels are mounted with 5.0-15″ True-Trac tires in the front and Titan tires out back. The tractor is equipped with a tricycle front axle for row crops, and the rear track width is adjustable.

The green-finished steel seat is mounted with a spring support. A shifter lever is mounted on top of the transmission case, and other controls include a clutch lever, a hand throttle, and dual pedals for the individual rear brakes.

The three-spoke steering wheel sits above gauges for coolant temperature and oil pressure. The tractor is not equipped with an hour meter, and total runtime is unknown.

The gasoline-fueled 2.4-liter twin starts by hand via a flywheel. Replacement spark plugs were installed under the seller’s ownership along with ignition points, a condenser, and a magneto rotor. The seller notes a leak at the right cylinder decompression valve.

Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed unsynchronized dual-range manual transmission. A Behlen overdrive unit was installed under previous ownership. The tractor is equipped with a rear power take-off shaft and a pin hitch. The clutch cover is missing, and there is a leak from the right-side rear end.
