1983 Honda Motocompo at No Reserve

This 1983 Honda Motocompo is finished in Shetland White and was said to be imported into the US in the early 2000s under prior ownership. Acquired by the seller in 2019 at an estate sale, the bike is powered by an air-cooled 49cc two-stroke single linked to a single-speed transmission with an automatic clutch. Features include a black vinyl pop-up seat and handlebars that fold flat as well as 8″ three-spoke steel wheels, street lighting, oil injection, a full suspension, a center stand, a mirror, and integrated lift/tie-down points for transport. The carburetor was replaced in 2025, and this Motocompo is now offered at no reserve in Montana for off-road use only with a bill of sale.

The bike is finished in Shetland White with black rubber side strips as well as silver and red Motocompo graphics. Features include a black vinyl pop-up solo seat, a black front fender, a rear mudguard, a center stand, street lighting, a handlebar-mounted mirror, an integrated security cable, and folding handlebars and foot pegs. Imperfections in the boywork are captured in the gallery.

Steel 8″ three-spoke wheels are finished in black, and braking is from drums at both ends. Suspension consists of a leading-axle telescopic fork as well as a monoshock connected to the drive unit, which doubles as the swingarm.

Instrumentation consists of a handlebar-mounted 50-km/h speedometer and an oil indicator light, as well as a fuel-level gauge located atop the fuel tank. No odometer was equipped from the factory, therefore total mileage is unknown.

The air-cooled 49cc two-stroke single is mounted horizontally and was factory-rated at 2.5 horsepower and 2.75 lb-ft of torque. Features include oil injection, a kick starter, and an exhaust system that is tucked beneath the rear bodywork. The carburetor was replaced in 2025, per the seller.

Power is sent to the rear wheel via a single-speed transmission with an automatic clutch. The transmission fluid was flushed in 2025.

The Motocompo was designed to fold and fit into the trunk of the contemporary Honda City. The handlebars, seat, and foot pegs fold flat, and the body features a master fuel switch as well as integrated lift handles and tie-down points to facilitate transport. The bike weighs 99 pounds with fluids, per period sales literature.

The bike does not have a title or registration. It is being sold on a bill of sale only.
