This 1975 Volkswagen Type 2 bus was refurbished and fitted with a 23-window conversion in 2023 by Fupi Restaurações in São Paulo, Brazil, before it was acquired by the seller and imported to the US in 2025. Finished in red with a contrasting white roof over a gray interior, the bus is powered by an air-cooled 1.5L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a single downdraft carburetor, rear shocks with helper springs, drum brakes, 14″ steel wheels, white bumpers, safari-style front windows, a retractable cloth sunroof, and three-row bench seating. The bus was previously offered on BaT in January 2026, and a full stainless-steel exhaust system was subsequently installed in addition to a roof rack and front seat belts. This Type 2 is now offered again at no reserve with a recent service record, refurbishment photos, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.

As part of the aforementioned refurbishment, the bus was disassembled, converted to the 23-window configuration, refinished in its current red and white color scheme, and fitted with a retractable gray cloth sunroof. The seller tells us that new door seals and various replacement trim, cosmetic, electrical, and mechanical components were fitted during the process. Exterior equipment includes white-finished bumpers with overriders, safari-style front windows, dual side mirrors, quarter vent windows, and pop-out side windows. A roof rack was sourced from Wolfsbürg West and installed following the previous auction. Photos provided in the gallery were taken between January and August 2026.

Gray-finished 14″ steel wheels wear chrome VW-branded hubcaps and are wrapped in Barrela tires with simulated narrow-whitewall overlays and cracks on the sidewalls. The suspension incorporates rear shocks with helper springs, while braking is handled by four-wheel drums. The right-rear wheel seal was replaced in late 2025.

The forward cab features a split bench upholstered in gray vinyl and cloth, with the exposed interior metalwork refinished in white. Front lap belts sourced from Wolfsbürg West were installed following the previous auction, along with a fire extinguisher. Sliding windows provide additional ventilation.

The passenger-side barn doors open to reveal two additional rows of bench seating. A flip-up wind deflector accompanies the retractable cloth sunroof, while period-style jail bars are fitted in the rear cargo area.

An ivory-finished two-spoke steering wheel fronts a 120-km/h speedometer and fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 72k kilometers (~45k miles).

The air-cooled 1.5L flat-four is equipped with a single downdraft carburetor. The wiring harness and a number of associated components were renewed during the refurbishment, per the seller. The battery was replaced under current ownership.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle, and a stainless-steel exhaust system was installed following the previous auction. Service performed in late 2025 included changing the transaxle fluid and replacing the transaxle nose cone.
