This 1980 Honda CBX Super Sport was purchased by the seller in 2020, reportedly from the original owner, and is powered by a 1,047cc DOHC inline-six paired with a five-speed transmission, both of which were rebuilt in 2023. Finished in black, the bike is further equipped with 19″ and 18″ ComStar aluminum wheels, triple disc brakes, adjustable shocks, six Keihin carburetors, an oil cooler, a Kerker exhaust system, aluminum clip-on handlebars, a black two-up seat, and both center and side stands. The 5.3-gallon fuel tank and the front fender, tail section, and side panels are finished in black w/red and gold-tone pinstripes. Suspension consists of an air-adjustable 35mm fork along with a pair of preload-adjustable shocks attached to the swingarm. Braking is handled by dual 276mm discs up front as well as a 296mm disc at the rear.

Forged-aluminum clip-on handlebars are secured above the upper triple clamp, and Nippon Seiki instrumentation ahead consists of a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 9,500-rpm redline, and a voltmeter as well as indicator lights for high beam, neutral gear selection, oil pressure, and turn signals. The five-digit odometer shows 16k miles, approximately 1,200 of which have been ridden under current ownership.

The air-cooled 1,047cc DOHC inline-six features four valves per cylinder, an electric starter, and an oil cooler along with electronic ignition, six 28mm Keihin carburetors, and a Kerker six-into-two exhaust system with upswept mufflers. Factory-rated output was 98 horsepower and 60 lb-ft of torque. An engine rebuild was carried out in 2023 by Tim’s International Motorcycle Supply in Alpharetta, Georgia, and the seller reports installation of a replacement battery in March 2025 along with the most recent oil change in June 2026.

Power is routed to the rear wheel through a multi-plate clutch, a five-speed transmission that was also rebuilt in 2023, and a drive chain.
