408-Powered 1990 Ford Mustang GT Hatchback 5-Speed at No Reserve

This 1990 Ford Mustang GT hatchback was acquired by the seller on BaT in October 2022, and subsequent work consisted of repainting the body in red and installing a raised cowl hood, a Holley Terminator X ECU, and a 408ci Windsor V8 linked with a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission and an 8.8″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential and 3.55:1 gears. The cabin is trimmed in Titanium cloth upholstery, and equipment includes black five-spoke 17″ wheels, a cat-less aftermarket exhaust system, a sunroof, a rear hatch spoiler, air conditioning, a short-throw shifter, and a factory AM/FM cassette stereo. This Fox-body Mustang GT shows 106k miles and is now offered at no reserve with the manufacturer’s literature, the Ownercard, and a clean Georgia title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted in red circa 2025 and features GT-Specific bodywork along with a raised cowl hood. Additional equipment includes a sunroof, fog lights, a fixed antenna, and a rear hatch spoiler.

Black-finished SVE 17″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with 275/40 Nitto Motivo tires. Standard equipment included a Handling Suspension Package featuring variable-rate springs and adjustable Strange Engineering rear shocks along with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

The cabin houses articulated front seats and a split-folding rear bench trimmed in Titanium cloth with vinyl accents. A white ball-style shift knob is mounted atop a short-throw shifter, and additional appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM cassette stereo, and power windows and door locks. The headliner is sagging at the rear corners and the rear trim panels are worn. The map pockets were removed from the door panels and a Bluetooth receiver was added to the factory radio.

The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5,800-rpm redline as well as gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 106k miles, approximately 8k of which were added under current ownership.

The 351ci Windsor V8 long block was modified to displace 408ci and installed in 2024, and the seller estimates about 6k miles have been added since. The engine features an Edelbrock Victor EFI intake manifold, an aftermarket throttle body, a Powermaster starter motor, a 340-lph fuel pump, Live Wire spark plug wires, MSD ignition components, BBK long-tube exhaust headers, and a Griffin aluminum radiator with Derale twin cooling fans. The engine control is handled by a Holley Terminator X ECU.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission and an 8.8″ rear axle with a limited-slip differential and 3.55:1 gears that were installed under current ownership. A custom cat-less exhaust system with chambered mufflers is installed.

The Manufacturer’s literature and Ownercard will accompany the vehicle.

The Carfax report is free of accident or damage entries.
