This 1963 Chevrolet Corvair 900 Monza convertible was acquired out of Missouri by the seller in 2016. Its air-cooled 145ci flat-six was overhauled in 2018, at which time its four-speed manual transaxle was also serviced, and its carburetors were rebuilt in 2022. Its fuel pump and engine vacuum lines were replaced in August 2026. The car is refinished in Ember Red with a white soft top over black vinyl, and it has a wood-rimmed steering wheel, an aftermarket tachometer and auxiliary gauges, and a retro-look stereo. This Corvair Monza convertible is offered at no reserve in Massachusetts with service records, removed components, spare parts, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.

The car was finished at the factory in Ember Red (922), and components including floorboards and a rear quarter panel were replaced before a repaint in 1993. Some corrosion in the floor and trunk pans is reported. Areas of oxidized paint and flaws in the replacement soft top are pictured in the gallery, and the top boot cover is missing some snaps.

The Corvair’s factory independent suspension utilized coil springs all around and swing axles at the rear. Braking is provided by four-wheel drums. The 13″ steel wheels are trimmed with full covers, and they are mounted with Maxxis thin-whitewall tires.

The black interior has pleated vinyl upholstery, replacement carpets, and a retro-style stereo, which was installed in 2017. The driver’s seat has some damaged upholstery and seam separation, and a section of weatherstripping is missing for the driver’s door.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts the 100-mph speedometer as well as aftermarket gauges for cylinder head temperature and oil pressure, and a Sunpro tachometer is mounted on the center ashtray. The five-digit odometer shows 92k miles, approximately 6k of which were added by the seller, who notes that the speedometer cable squeaks intermittently, and the windshield washer system is not working.

The rear-mounted, air-cooled 145ci flat-six was overhauled in 2018, and replacement piston rings, bearings, and additional components are itemized in records for the work. The starter was replaced in 2020, while the carburetors were rebuilt in 2022, and the battery was replaced in 2024, per the seller, who adds that the fuel pump and the engine’s vacuum lines were replaced in August 2026.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. Transmission seals and the clutch disc were also replaced in 2018, and the clutch cable was replaced in 2021.
