This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible was purchased by the owner in 2019, and a subsequent build involved repairing the sheet metal and repainting the body in metallic blue with a dark blue power-operated soft top. Power is provided by a 327ci V8 that is topped with Holley Sniper EFI and linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.55:1 Positraction 10-bolt rear end. Inside, the front bucket seats are trimmed in tan vinyl and accompanied by a center console, a Hurst shifter, a RetroSound digital stereo, Vintage Air climate control, cruise control, and an American Autowire fuse panel and harness. The chassis has been modified with QA1 adjustable front coilovers and a Detroit Speed rear anti-sway bar, and 17″ U.S. Mags alloy wheels are mounted over front disc brakes and rear drums. Additional equipment includes 64cc cylinder heads, a COMP camshaft, finned valve covers, CVF Racing hood hinges, a Cold Case radiator with dual electric fans, and a custom 3″ stainless-steel dual exhaust system. This modified Chevelle Malibu convertible is now offered on dealer consignment with build records, refurbishment photos, car show awards from 2021 through 2023, and a clean Nebraska title.

The car was refinished in the GM color of Deep Ocean Blue after the body was sandblasted, according to the selling dealer, who notes the quarter panels were replaced and the doors and fenders were repaired during the 2021 refurbishment work. Details include a power-operated dark blue convertible top, a tan top boot, and chrome bumpers and trim.

This is a relist after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in September 2026 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.

Chrome 17″ U.S. Mags wheels are wrapped in redline radial tires. The car rides on adjustable QA1 coilovers at the front along with coil springs and a Detroit Speed anti-sway bar at the rear. It is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by front discs and rear drums.

The interior houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in tan vinyl along with coordinated door panels and carpeting. Appointments include a center console, a Hurst shifter, a RetroSound digital stereo, Vintage Air climate control, and an American Autowire fuse panel and harness. The selling dealer notes the floor pan and trunk were covered in Dynamat sound-deadening material and coated in Lizard Skin coating before the car was re-trimmed.

The trunk is trimmed to match the interior and houses an Optima battery behind the right-side cover panel.

The two-spoke steering wheel frames a Dakota Digital instrument panel consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a digital display screen, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 8k miles have been added since the build.

The replacement 327ci V8 was installed during the build completed in 2021 and features 64cc cylinder heads, a COMP Cams camshaft, an Edelbrock intake manifold, finned valve covers, and a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection setup that is fed from a Tanks, Inc. fuel tank. The firewall was smoothed and the engine compartment was painted body color, and the hood is mounted on CVF Racing billet hinges. A Vintage Air Front Runner serpentine drive assembly is also installed along with a Cold Case aluminum radiator and dual electric cooling fans.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rear end with a 3.55:1 Positraction differential. Coated Flowmaster long-tube headers feed into a 3″ stainless-steel dual exhaust system with an H-pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. The seller notes 3M Body Shutz was applied to the underside.

The data plate is affixed with replacement rivets and reveals the following production information:
