This 1970 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster was specified in Willow Green over Suede Green leather and was initially distributed via British Leyland of New York. The car was the recipient of JCNA best-in-class awards before it was sold on BaT in December 2019. It then spent time in Canada before being acquired by the selling dealer on BaT in September 2021. Power is provided by a 4.2-liter inline-six that is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors and linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car rides on 15″ wire wheels and has a black soft top and four-wheel disc brakes. Inside, the cabin is appointed with a cassette stereo, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, and a heater. This XKE roadster is now offered with a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, the owner’s manual, service records, awards, and a clean Washington title.

Finished in Willow Green from the factory, the car received paintwork and bodywork in 2019. It is equipped with a black soft top, exposed headlights, chrome-finished bumpers with guards, and taillights positioned below the bumpers. A floor repair was also performed in 2019.

Chrome-finished 15” wire wheels are secured with two-eared knock-offs and wear Michelin Defender tires. A matching spare wheel fitted with a Michelin redline tire is stored in the rear compartment. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.

Bucket seats are upholstered in Suede Green leather, and the cabin is appointed with a Panasonic cassette stereo, a locking glovebox, and a heater.

A wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts a Smiths 160-mph speedometer and 6k-rpm tachometer. Auxiliary readouts are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 86k miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter XK inline-six is equipped with a pair of Stromberg carburetors, and output was rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque when new. The fuel filter, coolant hoses, and steering rack mounts were replaced in 2021, and the carburetors were serviced.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.

The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate indicates a manufacture date in March 1970 and lists original colors, equipment, and production information. A tool kit, jack, soft-face mallet, manufacturer’s literature, and JCNA award recognition are viewable in the gallery below.
