This 1987 Buick Regal Turbo-T is a running project that was acquired by the seller in 2019, and subsequent work consisted of rebuilding the turbocharged and intercooled 3.8-liter V6, fitting an upgraded turbocharger, and replacing the fuel pressure regulator, thermostat housing, water pump, PCV components, and ignition components. The engine is linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and the car is finished in black over gray cloth upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ cast aluminum wheels, a glass Astroroof, front bucket seats with a center console, cruise control, a Scanmaster 2.1 scan tool, and an Alpine CD stereo. This Regal Turbo-T project is now offered at no reserve with spare parts and a New York title in the seller’s name.

The car was repainted in black under prior ownership, and features include blacked out grille and trim, a glass Astroroof, a sculpted hood, and quad headlamps. Areas of corrosion and paint and body blemishes are displayed up close in the gallery.

The 15″ cast aluminum wheels are mounted with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. The car is equipped with the Gran Touring Suspension, which included fast-ratio power steering. The car has front disc brakes and rear drums. The seller tells us that the factory brake unit failed in 2020 and a Summit Racing electric vacuum pump along with a conventional master cylinder were subsequently installed. The brake system job was not completed and the brakes are not functional.

The interior is trimmed in Gray cloth upholstery and features front bucket seats with a center console, power windows and locks, black trim, cruise control, a Scanmaster 2.1 scan tool, and an Alpine CD stereo. The air conditioning does not work, and the RPO sticker on the underside of the decklid is missing.

The tilting three-spoke sport steering wheel frames a horizontal 85-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a boost gauge, and a fuel gauge. The rolled five-digit odometer shows 6k miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership.

The turbocharged and intercooled 3.8-liter V6 was rebuilt in October 2020 at Motorworks of Amityville, New York, and additional work included replacing the ignition coil, ignition control module, fuel pressure regulator, thermostat housing, water pump, PCV components, and spark plug wires. The seller tells us that an upgraded turbocharger, intake system, and revised vehicle tune are installed.

Power is routed to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. An aftermarket exhaust system with dual tailpipes is fitted.

Items accompanying the vehicle include the removed brake components, a rear disc brake conversion kit, a roof seal, a Hypertech Power Chip, a removed stereo, interior trim components, and New Vintage USA instrumentation.
