This 1985 BMW M635CSi is a European-market example that is said to have been brought to the US in the 1980s. It is finished in black over gray upholstery and is powered by a 3.5-liter M88 inline-six linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include front and rear spoilers, headlight wipers, 16″ BBS RS wheels, Ground Control dampers, and an Alpine cassette stereo. The car was sold on BaT in May 2017 and was recently acquired by the selling dealer. This E24 M635CSi is now offered with an owner’s manual, a Carfax report, and a Washington title.

The car left the factory finished in Diamond Black Metallic, and exterior features include a sunroof, front and rear spoilers, and headlight wipers. Paintwork was performed under previous ownership; various imperfections have been repaired; and the side markers have been removed.

The 16″ BBS RS wheels are mounted with Yokohama Advan tires. The M635CSi was equipped from the factory with MacPherson struts up front and a semi-trailing arm suspension setup out back as well as Bilstein shocks and front and rear anti-roll bars. Braking is handled by power-assisted four-wheel discs with ABS and ventilated front rotors. The suspension has been lowered, and Ground Control dampers have been installed.

The seats are trimmed in gray upholstery, and interior features include an onboard computer and an Alpine cassette stereo. Aftermarket speakers are said to have been installed under previous ownership.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a retrofitted 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 188k miles, a handful of which have been added by the selling dealer. A mileage inconsistency is noted in a 2017 entry in the Carfax report, which notes that it may be the result of a clerical error.

The 3.5-liter M88/3 inline-six features Bosch Motronic fuel injection and sends power to the rear wheels through a Getrag five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
