This full-fendered 1934 Ford Model 40 five-window coupe is powered by a 24-stud flathead V8 that has been modified with with Taterfield heads, an Isky 77 camshaft, adjustable tappets, and a 2×2 intake with dual Strombergs, and the engine is linked to a C-4 automatic transmission. The car rides on wire-spoke wheels painted red and has a Super Bell front axle, a Vega steering box, a four-bar rear suspension, and a Ford 9″ rear end, and inside are air conditioning, auxiliary gauges, and a custom sound system. The car was reportedly awarded first place in the Early Street Coupe class at the 2020 Grand National Roadster Show. Purchased by the seller in 2026, and this Model 40 is now offered with a California title in the seller’s name listing the car as a 1934 Ford coupe.

The bodywork is painted black, and the car features cowl lights, yellow auxiliary lights, and a rumble seat.

The 16″ wire-spoke wheels are mounted with staggered BFGoodrich tires. The suspension setup includes a Super Bell front axle, Pete & Jakes front shocks, and a four-bar rear suspension with coilovers. A Vega steering box is also fitted, and braking is provided by power-assisted four-wheel drums.

The cabin features bench seating upholstered in beige fabric. Interior appointments include air conditioning, three-point seatbelts, a Kenwood head unit, and a double-bend floor shifter.

A Custom Autosound unit is mounted in the glove box along with auxiliary gauges.

The driver is provided a banjo-style steering wheel. The five-digit odometer shows 5,600 miles, approximately 800 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The car is titled as a 1934 Ford coupe using VIN 18577549. The seller is unable to locate the VIN on the car and the title carries an odometer reading of 5,459 miles with an “Actual” notation.
