This 1981 Porsche 911SC Targa has remained registered in California since new and was purchased by the seller in 1995. Finished in Wine Red Metallic over brown leather, the car is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels, fog lights, power windows, cruise control, and a cassette stereo. This 911SC Targa is offered with a damage-free Carfax report and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in Wine Red Metallic, and exterior equipment includes fog lights, a removable Targa roof panel, a front-end cover, and dual side mirrors. The 16″ Fuchs wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires that were mounted in 2021. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes with ventilated rotors. The front brake calipers, pads, sway bar links, and brake hoses were replaced in 2021.

The front seats are upholstered in brown leather, and amenities include power windows, cruise control, and a Pioneer cassette stereo. There is a tear on the passenger seat bottom, and the air conditioning system does not blow cold.

The leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a central tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline as well as a replacement 150-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 171k miles, approximately 15k of which were added under current ownership. The steering column bearing sleeve was replaced in 2021.

The 3.0-liter flat-six features Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 172 horsepower and 189 lb-ft of torque. The valves were adjusted, and the fuel filter, engine lid shocks, oil thermostat and tank lines, and valve cover gaskets were replaced in 2021.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The shifter bushings and axle shafts were replaced in 2021.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other reported damage. An entry in August 2025 states that the car was designated a gross polluter in California, although the car has since passed a California emissions inspection.
