Atari manufactured this linked pair of racing video arcade games in 1999. San Francisco Rush 2049 is the third game in the Rush series, and these arcade cabinets feature seats with integrated speakers, force-feedback steering wheels, gearshifts, and three pedals. Keypads to the right of the steering wheels allow players to enter a PIN to accumulate points and unlock cars and tracks across multiple sessions. The games are currently configured for free play and are offered at no reserve in Murrieta, California.

Rush 2049 features tracks based on a futuristic representation of San Francisco and a stunt mode that allows players to score points for midair maneuvers and landings. There are six tracks, four stunt arenas, eight battle arenas, and an unlockable obstacle course called the Gauntlet. Additional cars and upgrades can be unlocked through accumulated points.

Each cabinet is equipped with a 27″ video monitor and coin mechanisms.
