This 1966 MGB roadster spent years in Florida under prior ownership and was refurbished in the 2010s before being donated to the Owls Head Transportation Museum of Owls Head, Maine. The museum deaccessioned the car in a 2016 raffle to a person who reportedly did not drive it, and the MG was donated back to the same museum upon that owner’s death in 2025. The fuel system, ignition, and brakes subsequently were serviced, the dual SU carburetors were rebuilt, and the battery was replaced before the selling dealer acquired the roadster from the Owls Head museum in mid-2026. Powered by a 1.8-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive, the vehicle is finished in red over black vinyl with red piping. Equipment includes a black soft top, 14″ wire wheels, a luggage rack, an AM/FM radio, a wood shift knob, and dual SU carburetors. This Mk1 MGB is now offered in Connecticut at no reserve with spare parts, a picnic basket, a Pendleton blanket, tire-changing tools, and Maine registration.

The car has been repainted in red and features a black soft top, fender-mounted mirrors, a rear luggage rack, bright trim, and chrome-finished bumpers.

Silver-painted 14″ wire wheels feature knock-off hubs and are mounted with Michelin Symmetry tires. A spare wire wheel with a Doral tire are located in the trunk. Braking is provided by front discs and rear drums. In 2025, the rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes, and rear-axle seals were replaced.

The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in black vinyl with red piping. Interior appointments include a steel dashboard, toggle switches, an AM/FM radio, a wood shift knob, a heater, a map light, a passenger-side map pocket, black carpeting, and black rubber floor mats. The glovebox door is worn.

The banjo-style steering wheel fronts Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 120-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and gauges displaying oil pressure, water temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles, approximately 10 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The 1.8-liter inline-four was factory equipped with twin SU carburetors and was rated at 95 horsepower and 110 lb-ft of torque. The carburetors were rebuilt in 2025, and the fuel pump was replaced along with the distributor cap and rotor, spark plugs and ignition wires, and battery. The seller notes that the engine requires a couple of cranks to start, as demonstrated in the cold-start video provided below.

Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission with overdrive.

A picnic basket and a Pendleton blanket will accompany the vehicle, as will a spare fuel pump, tire-changing tools, and a top boot.
