“You actually do think he’s innocent?” “Yeah.” Kino Lorber released their official trailer for a film titled Re-Creation, a modern day update on the classic jury deliberation movie 12 Angry Men this time made by the Irish filmmaker Jim Sheridan. This premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival last year and is already out on VOD to watch now at home if you want to see how the story plays out. This one skipped theaters entirely. A fictionalized courtroom trial set in Ireland exploring the murder of French producer Sophie Toscan du Plantier, questioning facts and debating the innocence of her convicted murderer, Ian Bailey. Co-Directed by Oscar-nominee Jim Sheridan (In the Name of the Father, My Left Foot) and inspired by 12 Angry Men, Re-Creation is a heady, haunting courtroom thriller that invites the viewer to draw their own conclusions. The film stars Vicky Krieps as Juror #8, with Jim Sheridan, Aidan Gillen, Colm Meaney, and John Connors.
