1975 Yamaha RD350 at No Reserve

This 1975 Yamaha RD350 was purchased in the late 1970s and placed into storage c.1981 by the seller, who tells us that recommissioning work carried out since 2021 has involved fitting the electrical system rebuilding and synchronizing the dual Mikuni carburetors, changing the regulator-rectifier and various ignition components, and overhauling the front brake and the fork as well as replacing the air filter, intake manifold boots, front brake master cylinder, rear shocks, and tires. Finished in orange with black and white graphics, the motorcycle is powered by an air-cooled 347cc two-stroke parallel-twin paired with a six-speed transmission. It also has a kick starter, a two-into-two exhaust system, Progressive Suspension fork springs, wire-spoke wheels, a lift-assist handle, a two-up seat, folding passenger foot pegs, and both center and side stands. This RD350 is offered at no reserve with a seller-supplied recommissioning parts list, various spare and uninstalled parts, and a clean Maryland title in the seller’s name.

The bodywork is finished in orange, and the fuel tank is accented by black and white graphics. Additional details include a left-side lift-assist handle, a black vinyl-upholstered two-up seat, folding passenger foot pegs, polished fenders, and both center and side stands. The seller notes that various plastic and rubber components have been replaced since 2021.

Wire-spoke 18″ wheels were mounted with Shinko tires and replacement rim strips within the last five years. Additional recommissioning work involved rebuilding the fork with Progressive Suspension springs, installing replacement rear shocks, and overhauling the front disc brake as well as fitting a replacement front brake master cylinder.

The chrome-finished EMGO handlebar carries HVC Cycle reproduction switchgear assemblies, and it is secured aft of a 120-mph speedometer, a tachometer with an 8,500-rpm redline and an inset neutral indicator, and a central panel with additional indicators. The five-digit odometer shows 4,200 miles, approximately 1k of which have been ridden under current ownership.

The air-cooled 347cc two-stroke parallel-twin is equipped with a kick starter, Autolube oil injection, and a two-into-two exhaust system. The seller notes that the two Mikuni carburetors were rebuilt and synchronized within the last five years, and additional work carried out since 2021 included replacing the air filter, intake manifold boots, spark plugs, ignition wires, and ignition points as well as fitting the electrical system with a replacement coil and regulator-rectifier.

Power is routed to the rear wheel through a six-speed transmission and a drive chain.
