This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS is a custom build completed in Norway in 2013, with work including stripping and repainting the body in black, installing color-keyed Fesler exterior trim, and overhauling the interior, drivetrain, and suspension. Power is provided by a 396ci V8 paired with a ZF six-speed manual transmission, and the car rides on adjustable Ridetech coilovers, StrongArms control arms, and a four-link rear suspension. Further equipment includes RS-style hideaway headlights, a raised cowl hood, 18″ Forgeline multi-piece wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and a custom exhaust system. The cabin is outfitted with TMI front bucket seats trimmed in black vinyl with Alcantara inserts along with a MOMO steering wheel and power windows. This Camaro SS custom build is now offered on dealer consignment in Norway with build records and Norwegian registration.

The car left the factory finished in Medium Blue Metallic and was stripped to bare metal, repaired, and repainted in black during the build completed in 2013. Exterior details include RS-style hideaway headlights, a raised cowl hood, a front air dam, tinted glass, sport mirror housings, and a painted rear bumper. Fesler provided the black-anodized billet aluminum gas cap, hood hinges, taillight bezels, and door handles. The rear wheel wells have been modified to accommodate the wheel and tire package. Frame repairs completed during the build are captured with the in-progress photos in the gallery.

Multi-piece 18″ Forgeline five-spoke wheels feature dark grey centers and polished lips, measuring 8.5″ wide up front and 14″ out back. They are mounted with BFGoodrich tires measuring 235/35 up front and 335/30 in the rear. The car rides on an adjustable suspension with RideTech coilovers, StrongArms control arms, drop spindles, a front sway bar, and a four-link rear setup. The four-wheel disc brake system utilizes a Wilwood master cylinder and red-finished calipers over cross-drilled and slotted rotors.

The cabin features TMI front bucket seats and a modified rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with Alcantara inserts, and the center console houses a Corvette-style shifter. Interior appointments include blue footwell illumination, power windows, an electronic trunk release, billet sill plates, and custom SS-branded floor mats. “Objects in mirror are losing” is etched into the side mirror glass.

The leather-wrapped MOMO Gotham steering wheel features an SS-style horn button and sits ahead of a 120-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Auxiliary gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage are mounted on the center console. The five-digit odometer shows 1,500 miles, approximately 100 of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 396ci V8 was bored to 402ci during the build, and it is equipped with a machined crankshaft, replacement connecting rods and high-compression pistons, a Howard roller camshaft, and ported cylinder heads with stainless-steel valves and Beehive springs. Additional components include an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Holley 750-cfm carburetor, a serpentine drive system, and GM Performance Parts 454-branded valve covers. Doug’s ceramic-coated headers flow into a 2.5″ dual exhaust system. The ZF six-speed manual transmission has a DynaForce clutch kit, and the seller notes that the rear end utilizes Moser axle shafts and a limited-slip differential.

The engine stamping is shown above. The MX suffix corresponds with a 350-horsepower, 396ci V8 for use with a manual transmission.
