This 1973.5 Porsche 911T Targa remained with a previous owner in California for 48 years before it was listed on BaT in October 2025. The replacement 2.7-liter flat-six was installed in 2000 by European Autotech of San Ramon, California, and underwent a top-end rebuild in 2007. Finished in silver over black leatherette upholstery, the car is equipped with a five-speed manual transaxle, front sport seats, a removable roof panel, 15″ Fuchs wheels, the Appearance Group, a Pertronix electric ignition system, and a Pioneer CD stereo. Approximately 3k miles have been added since the previous auction and the tires have been replaced. This 911T Targa is now offered in Kansas by the selling dealer with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, service records, and a clean California title.

The car was finished from the factory in Silver Metallic (80) and was repainted in 1993. The black removable targa top has been re-covered, and additional equipment includes a brushed stainless-steel Targa bar, bright rocker trim, a left side mirror, “sugar scoop” headlight trim, and front and rear bumper guards. The rear bumper paint was touched up under previous ownership and stone chips on the nose are noted. Close-up photos of the paint and trim condition are viewable in the gallery below.

The 15″ Fuchs wheels were refinished in 2025 and were mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires since the previous auction. A spare is housed in the front trunk. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. The rear calipers, pads, and rotors were replaced in 2014 after a fire around the left caliper area. The parking brake was replaced in 2022 and adjusted in 2023, and the brake fluid was flushed in April 2025. Bilstein shocks are fitted at each corner.

The cabin features front sport seats and fold-down rear seats trimmed in black leatherette. The carpets and headliner have been replaced, and appointments include air conditioning, carpeted floor mats, a Pioneer AM/FM CD stereo, and aftermarket speakers in the door panels. The air conditioning does not blow cold. The front trunk struts were replaced in 2025.

The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil level, engine temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer was repaired in 2000 and has rolled over. It now shows shows 14k miles.

The air-cooled 2.7L flat-six is equipped with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and was reportedly sourced from a 1974 911 and installed in 2000 by European Autotech of San Ramon, California. A top-end rebuild was carried out in 2007, at which time Mahle pistons and cylinders, Pertronix electronic ignition, and Carrera chain tensioners were installed. The battery was replaced and an oil change performed in 2025. The alternator was replaced in 2022, and work in 2019 involved a valve adjustment and replacement of the spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, distributor cap and rotor, fuel accumulator, and fuel hoses.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transaxle, which received a fluid change in 2025.

The Porsche Certificate of Authenticity shows the factory colors, serial numbers, and optional equipment.

Service records, a battery tender, and a tool kit are also included in the sale.
