1998 Acura Integra Type R

This 1998 Acura Integra Type R is a Canadian-market example that has remained registered in Ontario since new and was acquired by the seller in 2012. A repaint was conducted in 2018, and service since 2020 has involved replacing the timing belt, water pump, transaxle synchronizer gears, tires, and various ignition, suspension, and brake components. Power comes from a 1.8-liter B18C5 inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle, and the car rides on Mugen coilovers as well as 15″ seven-spoke alloy wheels. Further equipment includes Mugen components consisting of an air intake, exhaust, and shift knob in addition to a limited-slip differential, Skunk2 front upper control arms, a revised rear sway bar, JDM-spec Recaro front bucket seats, a JDM-spec MOMO steering wheel, air conditioning, and a touchscreen Pioneer head unit. This Integra Type R shows 209k kilometers (~130k miles) and is now offered in Canada with spare parts, partial service records, three keys and fobs, removed parts, a Carfax report, and Ontario registration in the seller’s name.

The car was finished from the factory in Championship White (NH-0), and the seller chose to have it repainted in 2018. Replacement Type R decals have been installed, and additional details include a front lip spoiler, a raised rear wing, a shorty antenna, a rear window wiper, window rain guards, and red Acura badging. A crack is noted in the front lip spoiler.

White 15″ seven-spoke alloy wheels were wrapped in 195/55 Yokohama Advan Fleva tires in June 2026. The car rides on adjustable-damping Mugen coilovers and is equipped with Skunk2 front upper control arms, a front strut tower brace, a Japanese-market rear sway bar, and Energy Suspension bushings. The Type R received larger-diameter disc brakes at each corner, and steel-braided lines have been fitted. The tie rods, along with the brake pads and rotors, have been replaced. Chips and scratches are noted on the wheel surfaces.

The Japanese-market Recaro front bucket seats are mounted on sliding Bride rails and are wrapped in black microsuede with cloth inserts and red stitching. Integra Type R-branded floor mats line the footwells, and appointments include a Mugen shift knob, air conditioning, a digital clock, a factory alarm system, Rockford Fosgate speakers, and a touchscreen Pioneer head unit. The air conditioning condenser and lines have been replaced. Photos of blemishes in the headliner can be viewed in the gallery below. The removed factory black seats will accompany the car.

A plaque on the center armrest identifies this Type R as #629 built for the model year.

The Japanese-market MOMO steering wheel is worn and frames a 230-km/h speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, which the seller attributes to the high-flow performance catalytic converter. The six-digit odometer shows 209k kilometers (~130k miles), approximately 40k of which have been added under current ownership. The removed factory steering wheel is included in the sale in addition to an unprogrammed second key/key fob.

The 1.8-liter B18C5 DOHC inline-four is equipped with a Mugen air intake assembly and a red-finished valve cover. Factory-rated output was 195 horsepower and 130 lb-ft of torque. Service since 2022 involved replacing the timing belt, water pump, crankshaft seal, distributor, ignition wires, and spark plugs.

The five-speed manual transaxle is equipped with a limited-slip differential and received replacement synchronizer gears in 2020, at which time the release bearing was changed and an Exedy Stage 1 clutch was installed. The Mugen exhaust features a four-into-one header, a high-flow catalytic converter, and a twin-loop muffler. Rust is noted on the underside. The seller states that a protective coating was applied to the undercarriage at the time of the exterior repaint in 2018.

A seller-provided description of the car is continued in the gallery.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other damage.

The vehicle is being sold on its Ontario registration, which serves as the ownership document in Ontario, Canada.
