1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR

This Japanese-market 1999 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR was imported to Canada under previous ownership and was acquired by the seller in 2018. It was restored under current ownership with work that included rebuilding the engine, transaxle, and transfer case, overhauling the suspension and brakes, repainting the exterior, dry-ice blasting aluminum components, blasting, priming, and painting steel components, and refreshing the zinc plating on various hardware. Finished in Scotia White over black and blue upholstery, the car is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and an all-wheel-drive system with limited-slip front and rear differentials and Active Yaw Control (AYC). Equipment includes forged engine internals, a Fujitsubo downpipe, a Fellybuilt exhaust system, a custom ECU tune, Fortune Auto coilovers, Brembo antilock disc brakes, 17″ OZ Racing wheels, a factory aero package, an adjustable rear wing, Recaro front seats, automatic climate control, and a Sony stereo with Bluetooth connectivity paired with JBL speakers. This Evo VI has 194k kilometers (~121k miles) and is offered with build records and a British Columbia, Canada registration in the seller’s name.

The body was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Scotia White (W83) in 2022. Exterior details include fog lights, a vented aluminum hood, aluminum fenders, power-folding side mirrors, a rear window wiper, an adjustable rear wing, and a polished single exhaust outlet.

The 17″ OZ Racing alloy wheels were re-powdercoated in 2026 and are mounted with Michelin X-Ice 3 tires. The suspension was overhauled under current ownership with fresh inner and outer tie rod ends, front and rear ball joints, bushings, and wheel bearings, in addition to refurbished factory sway bars and Fortune Auto 500 Series coilovers.  Antilock braking is handled by StopTech braided stainless steel lines feeding replacement Brembo calipers over a ventilated rotor at each corner.

The Recaro front bucket seats and contoured rear bench are trimmed in black Ecsaine with blue mesh bolsters. Appointments include automatic climate control, a Viper alarm system, power windows, and a Bluetooth-capable Sony stereo linked to JBL speakers. Wear on the driver seat bolster is depicted in the gallery.

The Alcantara-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames a 180-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. AEM auxiliary gauges for boost and air/fuel ratio are housed in an A-pillar pod. The digital odometer indicates 194k kilometers (~121k miles), approximately 44k of which were added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter 4G63 inline-four was factory rated at 276 horsepower and 274 lb-ft of torque. The engine was rebuilt under current ownership and the following components were installed or replaced:

  • King bearings
  • Manley H-Tuff connecting Rods
  • Wiseco AP 1400HD pistons
  • ARP hardware
  • Evolution VIII lifters
  • Water pump
  • DeatschWerks fuel pump
  • Cooling fan
  • Camshaft position sensor
  • Air conditioning pressure hose
  • Air conditioning receiver/drier
  • Refurbished fuel injectors
  • Fuel lines
  • Spark plugs
  • Hood insulation pad
  • Fujitsubo downpipe
  • Fellybuilt 2.5″ exhaust
  • Custom ECU tune for 91 octane

The battery was replaced and a timing belt serviced was performed in 2026.

Power is routed to all four wheels through a five-speed manual and an all-wheel-drive system with limited-slip front and rear differentials and Active Yaw Control (AYC). The transaxle was rebuilt in 2022, the transfer case was overhauled in 2023, and the clutch hydraulic cylinders, flywheel, clutch, and Active Yaw Control pump were replaced under current ownership.

The vehicle is being sold on its registration, which serves as the ownership document in British Columbia, Canada.
