Japanese-Market 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG Wagon at No Reserve

This Japanese-market 1999 Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG wagon is one of a reported 772 produced. It was imported to the US in 2014, spent time in Canada before it was listed on BaT in March 2025, and sold on BaT in June 2025 and again in March 2026 before the seller’s acquisition later that year. Finished in Brilliant Silver Metallic over Exclusive Anthracite leather, it is powered by a 4.3L V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Features include Vogtland springs and dampers, antilock disc brakes, 17″ AMG wheels, an AMG aero package, a sunroof, heated and power-adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, woodgrain trim, and a CD stereo linked to a Bose sound system. Work performed since 2025 included servicing the engine, transmission, driveshaft, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning system. This W202 AMG wagon has 155k kilometers (~96k miles) and is offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, service records, a clean US Carfax report, and a Florida title in the seller’s name.

The body was refinished under previous ownership in Brilliant Silver Metallic (744). Exterior details include an AMG aero package as well as fog lights, headlight wipers, halogen headlights, heated power-folding side mirrors, a sunroof, roof rails, a rear window wiper, and polished twin exhaust outlets.

The 17″ AMG Monoblock alloy wheels are mounted with Continental ExtremeContact tires. The independent double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension is lowered on Vogtland springs and dampers. Antilock braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Service in 2025 included replacing the left outer tie rod end, steering damper, lower ball joints, brake rotors, and pads, and the front lower control arm bushings were replaced in 2026.

The heated and power-adjustable front seats and split-folding rear bench are upholstered in Exclusive Anthracite leather. Woodgrain trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels, and additional appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a CD stereo linked to a Bose sound system. The cabin air filter, sunroof drains, and headliner were replaced in 2025.

The leather-wrapped AMG steering wheel frames AMG-branded instrumentation consisting of a 280-km/h speedometer flanked by a 7k-rpm tachometer and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 155k kilometers (~96k miles), approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.3-liter M113 V8 was factory rated at 302 horsepower and 302 lb-ft of torque. Work performed under previous ownership included replacing the following components:

  • Rear main seal
  • Air conditioning compressor
  • Crankshaft position sensor
  • Fuel filter
  • Oil pressure port cap
  • Coolant reservoir
  • Fuel hoses
  • Engine mounts

Service in 2026 consisted of changing the oil and replacing the breather caps on the left and right cylinder banks.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. The transmission was serviced in 2025, and both driveshaft flex discs were replaced in June 2026.

The US Carfax report is free of accidents and other reported damage from the initial entry in January 2014.
