This Factory Five Racing Mk1 roadster was assembled in the early 2000s and was acquired by the seller on BaT in December 2021. Work since that time has involved installing five-lug 18″ Niche alloy wheels as well as replacing the brake master cylinder, idle air control valve, spark plugs, and distributor cap and rotor. Power comes from a 302ci V8 paired with a five-speed manual transmission, and the car is finished in Rangoon Red over black upholstery. Additional equipment includes front disc brakes, a hood scoop, a single roll hoop, wind wings, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and Simpson latch-and-link racing harnesses. This Cobra replica is now offered with a spare set of four-lug Halibrand wheels and an Iowa title in the seller’s name describing the vehicle as a 1965 Cobra Replica Convertible.

The fiberglass body is finished in Rangoon Red with white vinyl stripes along the passenger fender. Details include a hood scoop, a windshield-mounted side mirror, a single roll hoop, a LeMans-style fuel filler cap, wind wings, chrome bumperettes, and side-exit exhaust pipes. Blemishes are noted on various panels.

Black 18″ Niche wheels are mounted to five-lug hub adapters and are wrapped in Falken Azenis tires. The front disc and rear drum brakes received a replacement master cylinder and lines under current ownership. The removed Halibrand-style 15″ wheels will be included in the sale. The seller notes that the rear wheels rub while going over bumps.

The cockpit features low-back bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery, and Simpson latch-and-link harnesses are provided for each occupant. A fire extinguisher is affixed to the rear bulkhead, and the battery has been relocated to the trunk.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 4,800 miles, approximately 375 of which have been added under current ownership.

The 302ci Ford V8 was sourced from a 1996 Ford Explorer and installed as part of the build. The idle air control valve, fuel filter, spark plugs, and distributor cap and rotor were replaced in April 2022, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a T5 five-speed manual transmission and a 10-bolt rearend.

The vehicle is titled in Iowa using the Massachusetts-assigned vehicle identification number “MA28704” shown above.
