This 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser BJ40 is a right-hand-drive example that is said to have been the subject of a 2023 refurbishment that involved installing a 4.2-liter 1HD-T turbodiesel inline-six and an H151F five-speed manual gearbox as well as refinishing the body in blue and reupholstering the interior using brown leatherette. Additional equipment includes a dual-range transfer case, 16″ steel wheels, a rear spare carrier, a white roof, a metric speedometer, a split front bench, and inward-facing rear jump seats. This BJ40 is offered on dealer consignment in Nevada with a Montana title.

The body was refinished in blue in 2023, and exterior details include a white roof, dual side mirrors, a chrome front bumper, side steps, rear lighting guards, and a rear spare carrier.

White-finished 16″ split-rim steel wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone tires.

The refreshed interior houses split front seating and inward-facing rear benches upholstered in brown leatherette. Matching door panels have been fitted, and additional appointments include a two-tone dashboard, a passenger grab handle, and vent windows.

The three-spoke steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap and frames a 160-km/h speedometer along with gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and amperage. The five-digit odometer shows 11k kilometers (~7k miles) and is believed to have rolled over, with approximately 1,200 kilometers (~750 miles) added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The retrofitted engine is said to be a 4.2-liter 1HD-T turbodiesel inline-six installed in 2023 along with an H151F five-speed manual transmission, which is linked to a dual-range transfer case. Additional reported work at that time involved resealing the drivetrain and replacing service components such as filters, hoses, lines, and glow plugs. An oil change was carried out in June 2026.
