2002 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed Race Car

This 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo coupe was converted to a race car under previous ownership and features a carbon fiber dash, doors, and hood. The twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six is equipped with K24 turbochargers, GT2 intercoolers, and a B&B exhaust system, and it drives all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle. The car wears a vinyl multi-color wrap over black paint and features a rear wing, polycarbonate windows, and tow hooks. Inside, the cabin houses a roll cage, Recaro and OMP racing seats, Schroth harnesses, a fire suppression system, and a B&M shifter. It rides on 18″ Forgeline wheels with Moton remote-reservoir coilovers and GT3 RS control arms. The current owner acquired the car in 2019 and the transaxle was rebuilt and fitted with a Guard limited-slip differential in 2023. This 996TT coupe track car is now offered by the seller in North Carolina on behalf of the current owner with a spare set of wheels, records, log books, and a bill of sale.

Finished from the factory in Black (041), the car wears a vinyl multi-color wrap livery and has been fitted with a carbon fiber hood and doors, a GT3 R-style wing with Briggs uprights, hood and decklid pins, and front and rear tow hooks along with a polycarbonate windshield, rear window, and rear quarter windows. The Carfax report lists an accident in April 2002.

The 18″ Forgeline ZX3R wheels wear Hoosier Track Attack R tires sized 245/35 up front and 315/50 out back. The car has been fitted with GT3 wheel carriers, GT3 front control arms with partial monoball bushings, GT3RS lower rear control arms and rear tow links, TPC Racing adjustable front and rear sway bars, and Moton coilovers with Eibach springs and remote reservoirs. An AP pneumatic jack system is also present, though the seller notes it has not been tested. A Fabcar dual brake master cylinder has been installed along with an AP Racing balance bar remote adjuster in the cabin. A spare set of Forgeline wheels wrapped in Pirelli tires is included in the sale.

The stripped cabin features a Fabcar roll cage with door bars along with a Recaro GT3 race seat for the driver and an OMP fixed-back seat for the passenger, both equipped with Schroth harnesses. Other modifications include a carbon fiber dashboard, a B&M short-throw shifter, a fire suppression system, Fabcar aluminum subfloor, and a door window net.

The MOMO steering wheel attaches with a Porsche Motorsport quick release and sits ahead of a 200-mph speedometer, a central tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. AutoMeter gauges have been added to the center of the dash. The digital odometer indicates 7k miles but does not work. An estimated 200 miles have been driven under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown.

The twin-turbocharged 3.6L Mezger flat-six has been modified with K24 turbochargers, GT2 intercoolers, Evo diverter valves, and a B&B GT exhaust with 100-cell catalytic converters. The seller states that the coolant pipes have been welded.

Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt in 2023 and fitted with 997 GT2 gear sets for first, second, and third gear. A Guard limited-slip differential, a billet BBI clutch slave cylinder, and a lightweight clutch and flywheel were also installed.

The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident in 2002.
