This 1959 Edsel Ranger two-door hardtop is one of 5,474 examples produced for the model year, and it is a non-running project. It reportedly underwent a refurbishment in the 2000s before it was purchased by the seller’s late father in 2020 and subsequently displayed at local car shows. The car is finished in white and red, and it retains a 292ci V8 linked with a two-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a dual exhaust system, fender-mounted ornaments and side-view mirrors, fender skirts, and reverse lights. Inside, the front and rear bench seats are trimmed in white, red, and tan vinyl with silver piping and multi-tone tan cloth inserts, and amenities include a push-button radio, a heater and defroster, and front lap belts. It is unknown when the car was last run, and service will be required prior to use. This Edsel project was inherited by the seller in 2026, and it is now offered at no reserve with owner’s manuals, a reproduction window sticker, literature, car show awards, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.

The car left the factory finished in Snow White with a Redwood Metallic roof and side accents (ED1), and it was repainted in white with red accents under previous ownership. Details include quad headlights, fender-mounted ornaments and side-view mirrors, fender skirts, and reverse lights. Paint bubbles and other imperfections in the finish can be seen in the gallery.

The red-painted steel wheels feature chrome hubcaps with red accents, and they are mounted with H78–14″ Coker Classic whitewall bias-ply tires. A matching spare wheel is stowed in the trunk. Braking is handled by hydraulic drums with a single-circuit master cylinder.

The cabin houses front and rear bench seats trimmed in white, red, and tan vinyl with silver piping and multi-tone tan cloth inserts. Tan carpets line the floors, and equipment includes a push-button radio, a heater and defroster, front lap belts, and Edsel-branded black rubber floor mats. Wear on the door panels can be seen in the gallery.

The steering wheel fronts a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 47k miles.

The 292ci V8 was factory equipped with a two-barrel carburetor and was rated at 200 horsepower. The seller reports that a replacement six-volt battery was installed under their father’s ownership. The car does not run, and service will be required prior to use.

The car retains a Mile-O-Matic two-speed automatic transmission, and it is equipped with a dual exhaust system.
