This 1982 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 was imported from Colombia to the United States in October 2019, and it was acquired by the current owner on BaT in February 2021. Under current ownership, the interior was retrimmed in tan vinyl and plaid cloth, and the bumpers were powder-coated black. Finished in red with a white removable hardtop, the truck is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. Features include Mickey Thompson 15″ wheels, manually locking front hubs, a swing-away tire carrier, and a retro-style stereo. This FJ43 is offered by the seller, a BaT local partner, on behalf of the owner with service records and an Idaho title in the current owner’s name.

The body of this medium-wheelbase example is finished in Freeborn Red (309) and features a white fiberglass hardtop. Exterior details include aftermarket headlights, Toyota-branded rear mud flaps, and bumpers that were powder-coated black under current ownership.

Black-finished 15″ Mickey Thompson wheels are mounted with Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 tires, and a matching spare is mounted to a swing-away rear carrier. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums, and the truck is further equipped with Aisin manually locking front hubs. The front wheel bearings were replaced in August 2022.

The cabin was retrimmed in tan vinyl and plaid cloth under current ownership, and it features three-across seating up front, folding inward-facing rear benches, cupholders, and a retro-style stereo.

Instrumentation comprises a 160-km/h speedometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, amperage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 5k kilometers (~3k miles), approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.2-liter 2F inline-six was factory rated at 135 horsepower and 210 lb-ft of torque, and is said to have been overhauled in 2020, at which point the carburetor was replaced. The battery was replaced and wiring was repaired in May 2021.

Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The front axle shaft seals were replaced, and the driveshafts were rebuilt in August 2022.
The Idaho title notes “Exempt” under the Odometer reading heading.
