This 1972 BMW 2002 was modified by the prior owner with a 4.9L S62 V8, a six-speed manual transmission, a one-piece driveshaft, and an E36-sourced limited-slip differential. The car was repainted in Inka in 2017, and Turbo-style fender flares and a front air dam were added. It rides on 16″ Enkei wheels with HKS coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and E30 sway bars. Inside, the cabin houses black Recaro sport seats, a Tilton pedal box, Speedhut gauges, and a MOMO steering wheel. This BMW 2002 was acquired by the seller on BaT in July 2025 and is now offered with a clean Massachusetts title.

The car is finished in Inka and was repainted in 2017 following the completion of rust repairs, including replacement of the rear tail panel, rocker panels, lower rear quarter panels, and rear fenders. The floors were also repaired and aftermarket front fenders were installed, and the vehicle was reportedly cavity sealed. Turbo-style fender flares and a front air dam were also added. There is a scratch around the windshield.

The 16″ Enkei wheels are mounted with Toyo Proxes R888R tires measuring 205/45. The brake system incorporates Wilwood calipers over two-piece front rotors along with E30-sourced rear discs, and an emergency brake was added under current ownership. HKS coilovers have been installed along with an E21 steering rack, E30 sway bars, and a front strut tower brace.

The cabin features Recaro sport seats trimmed in black with red stitching, while the dash has been re-trimmed in black leather with white stitching. A Tilton pedal box has been installed along with an aftermarket shifter, a custom center console, and a fire extinguisher. The heater components have been removed and the headliner is not tight to the ceiling.

The leather-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel frames Speedhut gauges that include a GPS-based 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges measuring oil pressure, oil temperature, and water temperature are fitted in the center of the dash. The digital odometer shows 2k miles since completion of the build, approximately 200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 4.9-liter S62 V8 was reportedly fitted with a replacement water pump, oil pan, and cylinder head gaskets before being installed in 2017. The VANOS system is also said to have been refreshed at that time, and a Kassel Performance ECU tune was added. Additional equipment includes a Tilton remote fluid reservoir, a 255-lph fuel pump, and a Griffin radiator. An oil change was performed in April 2026.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, a Shaft Masters one-piece driveshaft, and an E36-sourced limited slip differential. The rear differential is mounted to the rear floor, which is boxed and framed, and the front subframe is a custom fabricated unit. Additional chassis braces have been added.
