This Backdraft Racing RT3 Roadster was assembled in 2004 under previous ownership and was acquired by the seller in 2009. Power comes from a 392ci stroker V8 linked with a Ford Performance five-speed manual transmission, and the car rolls on 15″ Halibrand-style alloy wheels mounted over four-wheel disc brakes. It is finished in Indigo Blue with white over-the-top stripes and features a hood scoop, double roll hoops, quick-jack bumperettes, and side-exit exhaust pipes. Inside, the low-back bucket seats are trimmed in black leather and complemented by latch-and-link racing harnesses, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and AutoMeter instrumentation. This RT3 Roadster shows 20k miles and is now offered with an assembly manual, spare parts, and a California title in the seller’s name describing the vehicle as a 0000 SPCNS RD.

The fiberglass body is finished in Indigo Blue with white over-the-top stripes, and exterior equipment includes a hood scoop, a windshield frame-mounted side mirror, double roll hoops, wind wings, quick jack bumperettes, a LeMans-style fuel filler cap, and side-exit exhaust pipes with perforated heat shields. Flaws are noted on various surfaces.

Halibrand-style 15″ wheels with faux knock-off spinners are wrapped in Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. The car rides on a four-wheel independent suspension system and is equipped with rack-and-pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes featuring a Wilwood master cylinder.

Latch-and-link four-point harnesses are fitted for each occupant, and the cockpit houses twin low-back bucket seats trimmed in black leather. Backdraft Racing floor mats line the footwells, and appointments include a dash-mounted rearview mirror, a battery safety cut-off switch, door map pockets, and AC-branded brake and clutch pedals. The seller notes that the turn signal assembly is loose and does not work.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts AutoMeter instrumentation consisting of a reverse-sweep 180-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges for oil pressure, fuel level, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles, approximately 12k of which have been added under current ownership.

The 392ci stroker V8 is equipped with a Holley double-pumper carburetor, a high-rise intake manifold, a PerTronix ignition coil, and a Ford Racing air intake assembly and valve covers. The coolant hoses were replaced in 2026.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Ford Performance Tremec 3550 five-speed manual transmission linked to a BMW-sourced rear end.

A Backdraft Racing chassis plate under the hood bears VIN number AA9BMAAHV31CN1893. The sequence also appears as the VIN on an accompanying California Bureau of Automotive Repair vehicle information label, which lists the car as a 2004 Specially Constructed Vehicle powered by a 1960 Ford 5.8-liter engine. The car is titled in California as a specially constructed roadster with no model year.
